cheap camera

WireMySoul December 8, 2011 at 11:54 am

@SuperRockWave Eep. You’ll need a new hook for a project like this. Try a 4mm hook with worsted weight acrylic yarn.

WireMySoul December 8, 2011 at 12:05 pm

@blueydleprechaun Check out my other later videos. I learned the double ring and magic circle techniques and now use them exclusively.

SuperRockWave December 8, 2011 at 12:51 pm

My crochet hook size is 0.95mm :( ((

blueydleprechaun December 8, 2011 at 1:02 pm

@WireMySoul BobWilson123 also has incredible videos for beginners!

blueydleprechaun December 8, 2011 at 1:15 pm

I’m not sure if this has already been asked, but instead of starting w/ch2, have you tried using the magic circle? If so, how did that work for you?

WireMySoul December 8, 2011 at 1:30 pm

@NinjaTay11 Check out tjw1963’s videos. She goes nice and slow for beginners.

WireMySoul December 8, 2011 at 1:44 pm

@LalaOctopus I was such a novice at this when this vid was made. I never meant the whole world to watch it, it was meant for a friend. Who knew, right?

WireMySoul December 8, 2011 at 2:18 pm

@kawaiineko3v Sorry, but this is a hobby for me. I don’t make videos on demand, especially when there are so many wonderful videos already out there for beginners. I highly recommend you check out vids by tjw1963, she makes the most awesome vids specifically for beginners, with slow motion and high def.

kawaiineko3v December 8, 2011 at 2:58 pm

could you remake this video but with a bit higher quality and slower please?

WireMySoul December 8, 2011 at 3:11 pm

@wahinesurfergirl In the second video, you’ll see that I stuff this with polyester fibre fill. You can usually get it in the sewing or crafts section of Walmart, or in your local sewing store. Polyester wears well, doesn’t compact much over time and is machine wash and dryable without changing its fluffiness.

wahinesurfergirl December 8, 2011 at 3:34 pm

Question: when you’re done making the amigurumi, do you stuff them with cotton afterwards, to give it its shape or does it take form on its own?

LalaOctopus December 8, 2011 at 4:11 pm

Would love this but it’s quite fast and you keep going out of frame. :(

PARISchic100 December 8, 2011 at 4:31 pm

I Found it too fast :( x

NinjaTay11 December 8, 2011 at 5:10 pm

TOO FAST :(

axcounta December 8, 2011 at 6:03 pm

mine just starts to wave, like when you make a hat or a beanie, instead of curling up like that…

WireMySoul December 8, 2011 at 7:01 pm

@Phampy42 You’ll notice that the video has annotations that correct newbie errors like this. I didn’t even know how to pronounce this correctly when I made this video. lol

WireMySoul December 8, 2011 at 7:48 pm

@kookykawaiicutiepie This video doesn’t use an adjustable ring. Learn how to make one in my other video called “Creating Amigurumi Episode 1″. I refer to it as ‘magic loop’.

WireMySoul December 8, 2011 at 8:29 pm

@SisCp44 Yes, you single crochet 6 times in the centre, to make your first round. There are better videos that show you how to begin, than this. Check out my “creating Amigurumi episode 1″ video.

Phampy42 December 8, 2011 at 8:42 pm

amigurumi means knitted or crocheted stuffed toys

WireMySoul December 8, 2011 at 9:41 pm

@poisonmist13 There are some great videos for beginners on YouTube already. Check out tjw1963, she has the best vids with slow motion and whatnot. As for my camera, I have a better one since this was made, and I’m still learning how to use it. Thanks for taking time to comment!
